Bras and Bubbles: My Experience at The Bra Genie

Bras and Bubbles: My Experience at The Bra Genie

I had the pleasure of attending "Bras and Bubbles" event last week at the The Bra Genie store in Metarie, La. This event was hosted by a few New Orleans bloggers. They put on a great event and I am so glad that JD Series invited me.
It was my first time ever stepping foot into the store and I have to admit I was a bit nervous as I walked in. To my surprise there were so many smiling and welcoming faces. The set up was really pretty as well. I walked into a bra store and the first thing that caught my eye was the Rose'. (Kayne shrugs,) it was delicious by the way. Apart from the really good drinks I learned so much I didnt know about bras. First of all I've been wearing a C cup bra for as long as I can remember at this event I learned that I'm actually an E cup. How Sway? Talk about surprised.

Now lets get into this staff. My consultant, Ja'Nae was amazing. She made me feel so comfortable and taught me alot about bras that I really didn't know. After fitting me into my correct sized bra, Ja'Nae brought in a bunch of beautiful bras for me to try on. She brought in an array of different colors meanwhile, I was looking at her crazy. "Um I said I perfer black mam," I say to her as she brings in colors like taupe, violet, red and grey. She just laughed, but never uttered a word. I figured YOLO right and got to trying them all on. To my surprise the choices she brought in were nice. It's like she knew exactly what would work for me. I never knew how much I liked colorful bras until that moment. I've always been a simple black bra wearer. But now I'm kinda side eyeing them.

To see my girls in the right sized bra was a bit breathtaking. I noticed differences immediately. It felt great to have on a bra that was actually my size. Having gone down that road I'm not too sure if I could go back to ill fits. After conversing with some of the other attendees I soon learned that mostly every woman there was wearing the wrong bra size. Look at me fitting in.(Lol) After some research I learned that 80% of women don't know their correct bra size and are wearing the wrong bra size. There's good news for you ladies in Metarie, Convington, Baton Rouge and surrounding areas. Bra fittings at the bra genie were not just exclusive to the bras and bubbles event, you can go in anytime and get fitted. The staff is amazing and they will answer any questions you may have. These ladies really know their stuff, so yall please go have a visit. You won't be disappointed.

Ja'Nae my bra consultant informed me that The Bra Genie allows you make a wish list. And guess what they keep it forevvvvaaaa (Cardi B. Voice). I chose all the bras I wanted and put them on my wish list, so now anybody can go in and give my name and buy me something off my wish list. Cool right? No guessing on what I might like and they already have my size. So if you are wanting to get me a gift go to The Bra Genie. As a matter of fact, I have a birthday coming up (hint, hint).

Not only did I learn alot about the proper way to wear my bra, I now know my correct bra size and I have a new found love for colored bras. I got a chance to hang out with some of my cool blogger babes as well. Some known and some I met in person for the first time. It's always nice when I finally meet my internet friends in person. The conversations were cool, the atmosphere was chill and the bra wisdom was amazing. Special thanks to The Bra Genie and all the beautiful host of the event. It was really fun and much needed. Make plans to stop by The Bra Genie and be sure to let me know what your experience is. Be sure to let them know I sent you.
